The cartridges have a high flow rate, providing up to 20 gallons of filtered water per minute. A sanitary design minimizes spills and keeps filtration media enclosed during change-outs. Nonwoven polyester blend pleated filter media has a five-micron filtration rating. A cartridge change is recommended at one year. Manufactured by 3M purification INC. formerly cuno incorporated, the cartridge is made from fda cfr-21 certified materials. It can operate at temperatures from 40-100 Degree F and at water pressures from 25-125 psi . it does not require pre-activation, and has an O-ring seal type.
