In the age of high stakes testing, the Music from the Inside Out curriculum is a perfect way to bring music back into the classrooms. Piloted in classrooms around the country, the curriculum blends the "Reading and Writing Workshop" approach to literacy with music education. It lets kids inside the world of music, by helping them construct their own understandings about what proficient listeners think and feel as they listen to music, and what musicians think and feel as they play music.
