The can's motion sensor allows you to open the lid with a wave of your hand, reducing the risk of cross contamination. To open the lid, wave your hand in front of the lid's sensor. The lid will stay open for as long as movement is detected, closing softly and automatically after a few seconds without any movement. The lid of the can is easily removed to make changing the trash easier. Underneath the lid is on on/off switch, so you can easily turn the motion sensor off. Inside the can is a heavy duty plastic bin liner, which protects the exterior of the can from bag leaks. The bin has a metal handle, so it can be easily lifted out of the can, and has a bag lock to keep the trash bag in place.
