About Maull's Sauce Maull's recipe dates back to the early 1920's and remains today with the same character of the original sauce. Our sauce can be applied to any meat while on the grill over a very slow fire. A slow fire is one where you can hold your hand over the grill for 5 seconds. We use 100 tomato paste and our formula includes less sugar than most sauces on the market today.
