Description
- Restorers Spade Decorative Straps are hand made iron and bronze pieces featuring authentic styling and distinctive finish options.
- Use on gates, sheds, and other doors for a rustic appeal. Available in Black Powder Coat, Oil Blackened, and Aluminum finish. 6", 12", 18", 24".
- Since these straps are handmade, measurements and working tolerances may vary. Intended for heavy or often used doors we recommend using a faux strap in conjunction with a coordinating butt hinge. Matching mounting hardware included.
- Rust- Raw iron that has been oxidized. This finish will continue to rust over time and will rub off. This finish can be preserved by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant. Black Powder Coat-A baked-on finish that is virtually maintenance free. This finish is more shiny than Oil Blackened and is permanent.
- Oil Blackened-Raw iron coated with oil. The oil will wear and expose the iron beneath which will rust. Left as is, this finish will erode, or rub off. This can be prevented by sealing with furniture wax or a clear coat sealant. Weather Bronze-Solid cast bronze. Bronze will continue to age and patina over time. No two pieces will ever look identical.
