- MODEL INFORMATION: Riding Mower Spindle Assembly compatible with MTD / WHITE OUTDOOR 46 CUT DECKS, 1995 AND 1996 USING SPECIAL DESIGN FOR 6 POINT STAR CENTER HOLE BLADES
- LOCATION OF GREASING A LAWN MOWER: The grease fittings are situated on the back of the spindle. The front axle spindles are easy to locate and access. They can be found on the rear side of the left and right front axle spindles. Locate each of the zerk fittings on the mowers cutting spindles.
- IMPACT OF SPINDLE IMBALANCE: Shaft or rotating mass imbalance not only impairs production quality it can also precipitate premature bearing failure.
- KNOWLEDGE OF LUBRICATION: If an air-oil lubrication system is used, clean dry air is an absolute must for long spindle life. All air from air compressors should be dry and filtered. The lubricant must likewise be clean and free from moisture.
- WARM TIPS: To prevent ingression through shaft seals it is imperative that these be properly installed and maintained. Avoid directing tool coolant at shaft seals. Additionally, chips and debris should not be allowed to build up to the point of contacting the shaft seal.
