This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a close-up image of a water droplet mid-collision. Erik Brede is a self-taught photographer and Photoshop artist, born in 1971 in Svolvaer, Lofoten Islands, Norway. After getting his first camera at the age of 13, he spent much of his time in his father's darkroom. He is interested in surrealism, composite art, street life, nude, nature, and landscape photography primarily, and has been influenced by such artists as Ansel Adams and Rene Magritte. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame.
