- HANDMADE IN THE USA- Built by Kentucky artisans with decades of experience in craftsmanship and design. Each Uncle Dunkels Screech Owl House is made and finished by hand one at a time. No assembly lines or outside help.
- PREMIUM FEATURES NOT FOUND IN OTHER NATIONAL BRAND OR STORE BOUGHT BIRDHOUSES- The Uncle Dunkels Screech Owl / Kestrel Nesting Boxes are made from solid pine, tongue and grooved boards, with shingled roof. Each nesting box has been assembled by hand using rustproof decking screws and waterproof glue. The exterior of the house has been finished with our own special color decking stain making it look like weathered barn wood. The stain is an acrylic product and is very wildlife friendly.
- ORNITHOLOGICALLY CORRECT- The Uncle Dunkels Screech owl Nesting Box has been built to meet the specifications of The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Features including correct size entry hole ,Correct floor and head space, Interior fledgling ladder, air vents, clean out door and latch, and drainage holes. All this to ensure the highest quality and ' bird in mind' features available in a birdhouse of any price or brand.
- FRONT TREE BARK IS ETHICALLY SOURCED FOREST INDUSTRY WASTE PRODUCT- The front tree bark on all Uncle Dunkels products has been recycled from the forestry industry and put back into use. All tree bark has been heat treated and is safe to ship nationwide.
- EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO SET UP AND INSTALL YOUR OWL NESTING BOX INCLUDED- With each Uncle Dunkels Premium Nesting Box you will receive enough pine shavings for nesting material. For installation we include 3- inch stainless screws with washers. Stainless steel screws are recommended to reduce tree damage.
