- The CT-6-50 Sensor Probe from Cartell includes a 50' direct burial cable attached at the factory. The direct burial cable makes conduit unnecessary, allowing for easy installation. How does the sensor probe work? The CT-6 uses magnetometer technology to detect movement in the earth's magnetic field caused by moving steel. It will not detect animals, people or blowing objects. Wind and weather do not affect it, making it virtually false-alarm proof.
