- Each sourdough kit comes with two 34 oz. glass sourdough crock jars. The wide mouth makes adding flour, removing dough, or scraping the sides of the jar a breeze. The starter jar kit also includes one dough whisk, one bread lame with replacement blades, one plastic dough scraper, two level tracking fabric bands, two chalk labels, one chalk pen, and one glass pen. All useful sourdough bread accessories found in sourdough maker kits.
- We've included two temperature strips that can read the temperature of your sourdough storage containers at all times. This will ensure you can maintain the perfect temperature while you activate your leaven. The wide-mouthed, flip-top, glass dough jars can be both airtight, or not airtight, depending if you use the silicone seal.
- The two fabric bands allow you to easily keep track of the level of the starter. We've included two chalk labels and a chalk pen that can be placed on your bread starter jars. These can be used to keep track of the feeding date and time. If you don't want to use the chalk labels we've also included a non-permanent glass pen to write on the sides of the glass jars.
- All of our sourdough containers are lead-free and completely food safe. Be sure to only use glass jars as the acidic environment of the starter dough can cause plastic containers to leach.
