Stoneware Care & Use, WARNINGS, DO NOT use any Stoneware product on stove or hob top burners or any other direct heat source. Doing so will result in product breakage and could cause injury. ALWAYS use oven mitts for handling a hot product to prevent burn injury. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE, Before use, wash the product in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. OVEN: maximum oven temperature of 260 C/500 F, GRILL/BROILER: When using under grill/broiler, allow a gap between the rim of the product and the heat source of no less than 6.5cm/2 inches or this could damage your product. SUDDEN TEMPERATURE CHANGE: Although designed to withstand high and sudden changes in temperature, it is important to avoid extreme conditions as follows: Do not place a frozen dish of food in a pre-heated oven. Place the frozen dish in a cold oven and set the temperature, allowing the dish and oven to heat together. For a room-temperature dish, do not pre-heat oven above 205 C/400 F. If adding liquid to a dish in oven, take the dish out of oven to settle a few minutes and cool, then add the liquid. CARING FOR YOUR STONEWARE PRODUCT, For most day to day cleaning, cool the dish then wash and dry by hand or in the dishwasher. For removal of stubborn residues allow the dish to cool, fill with warm soapy water and allow it to soak for 10-20 minutes.
