The Beacon LED Wand-Style Light from Genaray is a perfectly-named 2.3" diameter tubular light source that measures 22" in length and can easily bring some "magic" to your work. The Wand makes an ideal sidelight, rim light, or hair light. Since it doesn't generate any heat, you can get as close as you like to your subject for special effects, or you can even tape it to a wall or shelf for use as an up-light. The Beacon runs on a removable, rechargeable battery that can give you up to 1.5 hours of run time on a full charge. The charging cord doubles as a 100-240 AC adapter. The Beacon's 312 LEDs are 5600K daylight-balanced, but you can use the included filter to change it to 3200K tungsten-balance to match other fixtures or ambient light conditions.
