The Floaty Backdoor's design has drawbacks. It's awful for the Hero6 and Hero 5 Black, Hero 4 Sliver, Hero+ LCD, and LCD bacpac's. Most importantly, It doesn't float with most accessories! It also doesn't work well with Chesty and Head straps.

Floating poles and grips are great, but they have a singular use-case. Meaning, you can't use them when mounting your camera. So you still need a floaty when mounting to a surf or wake boards, kayaks, your body, etc. Also, Poles and grips can also be dangerious in extreme activities.
