The key feature of our hammocks is the material from which they are hand crafted. Acrylic yarn is a very unique hammock material, with many benefits which include, weather fastness, color fastness, super strength, and unbelievably soft comfort . The vibrant colors are possible due to Acrylic yarn lending itself well to dying. Unique yarn material, outstanding skills and creativity combine in a masterpiece that goes far beyond just being a handicraft, it's a piece of art! The JUMBO design comprises 450 individual strands of yarn, each 3.75m long, equating to a total of 1.8KM of yarn. It takes a Hill Tribe weaver 7-8 days to complete 105 turns on each of the 450 strands resulting in approximately 45, 000 loops per hammock.
