If planting sprigs or plugs makes your back sore, consider Blackjack seeded Bermudagrass. You'll get a dense green lawn all summer long.
- Seeding Rate: New Turf Applications: Sow 2 - 3 lbs. of coated Blackjack Bermuda Grass seed per 1000 sq. ft. Coated seeds are easier to spread and retain moisture better which improves germination.
- A Blackjack Bermuda Grass lawn can be maintained at mowing heights from 0.5 inches to 2 inches. Applying 3 to 5 pounds of nitrogen per 1000 square feet per growing season is adequate. Do not remove over 1/3 of the leaf blade per mowing for healthy turf.
