Only found in some newest DualShock 4 controllers coming with PS4 Pro. Technically, the whole unit is interchangeable with the old version of PS4, PS4 Slim and Pro controllers. However, the orange trimmer potentiometer alone is not interchangeable
- Compatibility This version of stick will fit Sony original PlayStation 4 controllers alone. Some did report that it is compatible with other brands of controllers like Scuf' and Razer Raiju Ultimate' with sticks made by ALPS. We strongly suggest to teardown your controller and check it before ordering. Please contact us for further tech support
- When to replace The thumb stick rocker needs to be replaced when your controller has the problem of drifting, creeping, shuttering, a blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, no reaction when click or wouldn't center after years of wear and tear. The OEM genuine repair part was made by the same manufacturer as the one in your controller to ensure accuracy and prolong lifespan
- Reminder of Replacement With as many as 14 prongs, de-soldering and soldering the assembly takes serious skills. Professional installation with a heat gun is suggested. You can simply strip off the 3 prongs sensor to do partial replacing alone with an iron to solve most of the problems. Or simply have it replaced by technicians in a nearby cellphone repair shop
