- Brush your teeth guilt-free with etee Bamboo Toothbrush with Replaceable Head. Toothbrush heads are rated a medium, leaning toward soft, so you can brush your teeth without worrying about damaging surface enamel. The bristles are derived from a plant-based material, specifically castor bean oil. No petroleum, no charcoal, animal products or animal byproducts.
- The handle and head of each toothbrush is made from bamboo, and can be disposed of in your personal compost pile or city composting bin. The bristles themselves are biobased. Their time to break down will vary depending on local soil and water composition, so are not a good candidate for personal composting. Remove the bristles with pliers, which also will remove the staple holding the bristles in place, and then compost your brush. Packaging is paper based and can be recycled.
- The castor bean oil used to produce bristle material has been carefully processed to be safe for use in the mouth. As with any kind of toothbrush, heads should be replaced about every three months to remain clean enough for a healthy mouth.
- These toothbrushes are built to provide maximum tooth cleanliness with minimal waste. The bamboo used has been cleared by the Forest Stewardship Council for ethical and sustainable practices. The base of the rounded handle is dipped in a water-based paint to protect it from rot. Toothbrush heads snap securely in place and won't loosen as they're used. Heads are fully replaceable, so you're minimizing the amount of waste you produce.
