The sensing capability of VL53L0X can support various functions, including gesture sensing or proximity of various innovative user interfaces; wall detection, cliff detection, and collision detection of household appliances such as sweeping robots; bathroom products, such as faucets, soap dispensers, and Cell phones and flushers; other target applications include laptop user presence or power switch monitors, drones and Internet of Things products.

  5. Ranging measurements are available through the sensor's I2C interface, which is also used to configure sensor settings, and the sensor provides two additional pins: a shutdown input and an interrupt output.
