Description
- Pentacryl is a wood stabilizer used by woodcarvers, woodturners, builders and furniture makers to keep green wood from cracking, checking and splitting during the drying process
- Pentacryl will speed the drying time by approximately 30 because it displaces the water
- Will not discolor the wood or affect finishing; urethane varnishes, lacquers, tung oil, linseed oil, analine dyes, oil stains, and waxes all have been successfully used
- Shrinkage is reduced up to 600 depending on the orientation of the wood grain, quarter grain shrinks less than flat grain.
- Immersion and soaking in a 100 solution of Pentacryl is preferred but excellent results are still obtained by using the brushing method
