• It bonds to a wide variety of surfaces, including glass; metal; many plastics; composites; sealed wood; and painted surfaces. Rough, porous or fibered materials such as wood, particleboard, cement, etc. have an open surface and require sealing to provide a unified surface for tape bonding. Common sealing materials would include paint, varnish or other hard surface coatings.
• Carrier/Backing: closed-cell acrylic foam . Adhesive: multi-purpose acrylic. Release Liner: red or white film , white paper . Please note that 3M supplies RP25 1/2-inch on a white liner or a red liner. The product is the same for both liner colors.
• Adhesion: 272 ounces per inch . Tensile Strength: 90 pounds per inch . Thickness: 25 mils . Service/Operating Temperature: up to 200F. Application Temperature: 60F to 100F.
