- The stop lug is for 1999 to 2005 Volvo Penta Engines With the Pump Mounted on the Crankshaft. Over time the stop lug becomes a soft gooey , mushy mess , and needs to be replaced. It is located on the bar that locates the pump, and fits between the two hose fittings.
