Encircling the outside of the bowl are etchings of beautiful roses and leaves. The bowls are 5" in diameter and 2" deep. Catch the ashes of your sage stick in the bowl of sand as you cleanse and rest the burning stick in the bowl when finished. Remember to practice good fire safety and never leave a smoldering stick unattended. You can dampen the embers by snuffing them in the sand.
