- This LA-1008 Rear Drum Support Roller Kit includes 4 screws, 4 spacers, 2 retaining rings, 2 rear rollers, and 2 cylinder support shafts. If the dryer is noisy or will not tumble, the drum support roller kit may need to be replaced
- Replaces 53-0312N, DE696, K35-251, LA-1008VP, LA1008, 3044, AP4242491, PS2162268, EAP2162268
- The rear dryer drum roller functions by holding the drum in place while the drum rotates on support wheels during the drying spin/tumble cycle.LA1008 drum roller kit may need to be replaced as follows: Will not tumble, will not start, unusual noises, loud noises, takes too long to dry
- You must remove the drum by removing the front panel of the dryer, then gently lift the drum and remove it. Unscrew the existing drum support wheel on the back and replace it. New drum wheels are packaged with the wheels. Even if one looks good, replace both. The trick to getting the retaining clips on is to get them on the groove in front of the wheel shaft, use plyers to clamp down on the clip and shaft, and snap them into place
