- SELECT YOUR SIZE: This chimney wind cap is designed to bolt onto the outside of your chimney flue tile. Measure from outside edge to outside edge - this is the size of your cap. It easily installs over a masonry clay flue tile. Wind directional chimney caps are also a common choice for factory-built metal chimneys. It will fit flue tiles up to 1" larger and 1.5" smaller than above dimensions.
