- & - When you're pedaling to the metal you need strong and durable pedals. You don't want to exert that energy on flimsy, insecure, and unstable pedals. Our extra-large flat MTB pedals are built for every style of riding and made to be super durable. Made using 6061 Aluminum with a chromium steel spindle the pedals can take a beating on the trails and still spin super smooth. Each pedal weighs 173g/6.1oz and as a pair 346g/12.2oz.
- - In addition to the traction pins on each pedal the Corki Cycles pedal features a 4-inch wide platform. Whether you have a wider foot or are looking for that larger platform pedal surface area. The Corki pedal's wide platform allows superior pedal driving force and greater control as you get low on that 90-degree turn.
- - To install the Corki Cycles MTB pedals you will need an Allen key, with a little grease. The pedals are a universal size at 9/16". Take off your old pedals and check the crank arms threads before applying a little grease. Match the left and right pedal with the correct crank arm.
- - Using an Allen key screw the pedals on and tighten to about 90 . To finish use a bicycle torque wrench to finally tighten to the 5Nm limit. For those without a bike torque wrench use the Allen key to tighten. Do not over tighten. If in doubt visit your local bike shop to ensure correct installation and tightness. Remember if you overtighten it affects your crank arms threads.
