Description
- Dalmatian jasper is also known as dalmatian stone, which is a more reasonable name as it does not fit the gemological definition of jasper, with a unique appearance resembling the spotted coloration of the Dalmatian dog breed.
- Dalmatian jasper usually has a tan to dark gray background with black spots on its surface and often contains red to brown minerals. The ingredient of black dot is arfvedsonite, which is similar to sesame, so some people call it sesame dot stone.
- Dalmatian jaspers is a peralkaline rock of uncertain provenance, found in Chihuahua, Mexico. It consists predominantly of feldspars , quartz, alkali amphiboles, and lesser amounts of hematite and epidote.
- The black spots of the dalmatian jasper we used were medium in size and evenly distributed. But there is a color difference in the background, as shown in the picture.
- Each piece is cut and engraved by hand, so please allow for minor variations in shape and cut. It is recommended to use a dice tray especially D4 when playing. Each set contains 7 matched gem dice and 1 dice box and 1 PU bag.
