- Round gaskets can be installed with the original intake manifold o-rings left in place. Gaskets on intake side of carburetor have tabs that face upwards and inner bevel on metal plate between them should face away from carburetor body to clear butterfly. It might be necessary to slightly bend bracket to which throttle rod attaches to clear intake manifold and rod needs to be connected before installing carburetor
