Description

  1. Culantro is easy to grow but needs attention and patience to be successful with. The three critical conditions are warm soil - 80-85 F, seeds on the surface of the soil never covered, and a consistently moist soil. If you meet all three conditions, your seeds should start sprouting in 14 - 16 days
  2. Growing culantro from seed. The standard directions are to sow them about 1 cm deep, but there is no need to get scientific about it. Just cover the seeds and keep them moist. You can plant culantro in rows for easy harvesting or you can spread the seed over a wider area and rake it in.
  3. Culantro seeds do well when the temperature of the soil does not exceed 75 F . Early spring and late fall are usually the preferred times to plant culantro seeds. The seeds thrive well in cooler temperatures and will tend to germinate and mature too quickly in hot weather.
  4. They need about an inch of water per week. They should germinate in about 2 to 3 weeks. As culantro grows so quickly, you should plant a new batch of seeds every 2 to 3 weeks to ensure that you have a fresh supply of culantro throughout the growing season.
  5. CULANTRO seeds freshly picked, and tested for germination with good success rate. Culantro is also known as recao , langer koriander , ngo gai , pak chi farang , and bhandhanya , Shadow Beni, Mexican Coriander, long coriander, Sawtooth Coriander, Alcapate or Thai Parsley. These are some of the names by which this plant is known for
