Description

  1. ALPS 2.1K Potentiometer The OEM trim pot resistor was made by ALPS. It fits ALPS analog joysticks. This trimmer potentiometer works with PS5 DualSense and some PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 wireless controllers with 2.1K ohm ALPS thumbstick module inside
  2. Compatibility ALPS sensors come in two different resistance values. Make sure the value is around 2.1K before ordering. Never judge its value by its color.
  3. Additional Resistor Complicated moving mechanism and daily wear and tear finally caused drifting. Even new sensors cannot be 100 balanced. Calibrating in controller settings might not work. We packed 10x correction resistors to solve the potential problem in hardware level. Solder one or two paralleled tiny resistors onto the potentiometer at the opposite direction against drifting. It will help correct 3 to 5 degrees drifting
  4. For most joystick problem The potentiometer sensor needs to be replaced when the controller has the problem of creeping, stuttering, a blind spot, a dead spot, a dead zone, or it wouldn't center after years of wear and tear. De-soldering the unit with only 3Pins will be a lot easier than replacing the entire joystick with as many as 14 prongs
  5. Reminder of Replacement Use a pair of pliers to separate the problem sensor off the joystick module. Try to replace the wiper first, see if it works. De-solder the sensor off the PCB. A metal pick helps to clear the holes. Soldering the new unit in is a breeze. Remember to calibrate the new control sticks in settings
