- OTC Crankshaft Positioning Tool for use on 1993 and newer Ford 4.2L V6; 4.6L 2 valve and 4.6L 4-valve V8, 5.4L V8, and 6.8L V10 engines - same as Ford No. 303-448
- Handy tool prevents accidental movement of the crankshaft when doing camshaft or timing chain service or installation on these 'interference' engines
- Preventing timing misalignment on these 'interference' design Ford engines is critical as valves will contact pistons if timing chain is installed in an incorrect position, resulting in severe damage
- Simply install crankshaft positioning tool over crankshaft snout and engine front cover alignment dowel to correctly position crank at TDC
- OTC recommends that the No. 6024 Crankshaft Alignment Tool be used with Nos. 6009 and 6020 Camshaft alignment tools to safeguard alignment when servicing cams or chains
