YN-568EX II is the 2nd generation of the YN-568EX.The difference between these two generations is that the YN-568EX II can be a Master flash, while the YN-568EX can't. In other respects, they are the same. The YN-568EX II competes not only with Canon 600EX-TX, 580EX II, and the Nikon SB-910, SB-900, but also with other 3th party flashes in the professional class such as Metz 58 AF-2, Nissin Di866, and the Sigma EF-610 DG Super.
