About our Artist: "I was born in Kota, Rajasthan and brought up in different parts of India. Thus I could learn various cultures and traditions which helped me to develop keen interest in arts and crafts of India. I am a science graduate from Delhi University and did my masters in textiles from Pearl Academy, Delhi. I am always fascinated by the richness of Indian textiles. I worked as a textile project coordinator in the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi where I explored my design sensibility to the maximum. In Rajasthan I worked mainly in woven merino wool and khadi cloth. I trained some weavers in making designs in keeping with the latest trends while maintaining the originality of the products which I love most about my work. I did an independent project with Kullu shawls and weaving and also done consultancy design projects for international fairs. I am in the industry since 2000 and now have a design studio and printing setup. My dream is to have my designs reach out globally."...
