Description

  1. HANDMADE WRITING JOURNAL: 5x8 inch journal, handmade in the Himalayas with 84 deckle-edged pages . Makes a unique pick for a sketchbook, travel journal, prayer journal, gratitude journal, diary, or yoga journal. Makes a great gift for men or women.
  2. VEGETABLE-DYED COVER: The notebook's cover is made using the time honored tradition of vegetable-dyes with a mix of natural indigo and pomegranate used to create the beautiful green cover and resin from cutch wood used to create the earthy Terra Cotta spine of the journal.
  3. HANDMADE LOKTA PAPER: An ancient and honored tradition of paper making in Nepal, Lokta paper is used for official government documents, and special applications such as keepsake journals. The Tree-free paper is made by hand, is acid free, and our special epic pages are twice as thick as our standard paper.
  4. RENEWABLE PAPER SOURCE: The lokta bush provides the pulp for the paper and grows naturally on the southern slopes of the Himalayas of Nepal. When cut, the lokta bush quickly regrows. Lokta fibers are cooked into a mash and then spread by hand across boxed screens and set to dry in the Himalayan sunshine.
  5. NATURAL TEXTURE: Each page has a distinct texture on both sides with one side showing a hint of the fine texture from the screen used to create the paper. The other side, called the sun-kissed side, forms naturally as the pulp dries in the sun, creating a natural wrinkle texture unique to lokta paper. Handmade in Nepal. Namaste.
