- The fundamental component of the gi is the inherent beauty of unbleached cotton yarn loved by traditionalists. The natural color, traditional double weave and flat drawstrings bring about feelings of nostalgia and will stand out from current contemporary gi's
- While the weave is thicker than our other gi's, the weight is offset by the soft texture and supple feel that erodes in a typical gi due to the bleaching and dying process. We've been told it feels like your favorite worn-in sweatshirt
- Please note that since the fabric we use for the Vintage Collection is not bleached or dyed, naturally occurring color or shade variations within the jacket and pants might occur. This only adds to the look and feel of the gi
- You can simply wash the gi in cold water and hang dry it, and it won't shrink. However, if you want to intentionally shrink the gi, you can wash it in hot water and then dry it in a machine dryer. The hottest setting in both the washer and dryer will shrink the gi about 2-3 inches in length and also make it tighter fitting
