This George S. Patton bobblehead is part of Royal Bobbles' collection of historic figures. George Smith Patton Jr. was born on November 11, 1885, and died on December 21, 1945. He is best known for his service as a General in the United States Army. He commanded the US Seventh Army in the Mediterranean theatre of World War II and the US Third Army in France and Germany after the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944. Growing up, Patton was surrounded by family members with impressive military backgrounds. Patton attended the Virginia Military Institute and the US Military Academy at West Point. These facts, plus his impressive military intuition made Patton the ideal candidate to lead troops into battle. A fun fact about Patton is that he studied fencing and was good enough to compete in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, Sweden. During his life, Patton was known for his hard-driving personality and controversial political statements. Though these occurred, he would still go down in history for his success with aggressive offensive action and was regarded highly by his allies and opponents. This bobblehead shows George S. Patton in in his military uniform holding a stick and a gun holder on his belt. The new V2 version includes a better likeness of Patton and an integrated resin helmet.
