- INSTRUCTIONAL NOTE: While all serves are hit with arc , the upwards angle of the racquet at contact is subtle. While practicing your serve, feel the wrist flexing upwards towards the ball. This upwards swing is the primary source of racquet head speed, and by making subtle adjustments in wrist flexion, the precise angle of the racquet head at contact is determined and can be adjusted.
