- FUNCTION: The distributor deliver high voltage currents from the ignition coil to the spark plugs. It ensures that they set fire at the correct time in the correct order
- SIGNALS: The Ignition distributor rotor and cap will produce a few symptoms that alert the driver that service may be required. for example, engine misfires, car doesn't start, engine lights on, excessive or unusual engine noise appears
- INSTALLATION: Before take off the old distributor, you need to mark the position of the rotor and the engine mounting point. You must ensure that the rotor is in the marked position before installing the new distributor. Then mount the new distributor on the engine, re-connect the distributor's wires and replace the cap. Please check all connections in advance and then start the vehicle until it idles smoothly. Lastly, you need to adjust the timing by rotating its housing by very small amounts
