• ART LENS SERIES - The Sigma 14mm 1.8 DG HSM Art is the worlds first 1.8 prime lens at the 14mm focal length. This fast wide prime features the same large aspherical element as in the Sigma 12-24mm F4 Art to control distortion. An updated Hyper Sonic Motor provides fast and accurate autofocus. The 14mm is designed to address high megapixel DSLR sensors. The Sigma 14mm DG HSM Art is handcrafted at our single factory in Aizu, Japan and undergoes individual evaluation before leaving the facility.
• Optics - The Sigma 14mm 1.8 HSM Art lens utilizes both FLD and SLD glass elements to control chromatic aberrations and color fringing for noticeable clarity. Four aspherical elements including the front 80mm diameter precision-molded glass element also contributes to reducing distortion and spherical aberrations for better sharpness and accuracy. A Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress lens flare and ghosting for greater contrast when working in strong lighting
• Low Light - The Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art lens is a unique wide-angle prime designed to produce high-resolution, well-corrected imagery. Its 1.4 F stop can take indoor and low-light outdoor shooting. Its larger f stop makes this lens especially well-suited to astrophotography
• Focus - Hyper Sonic Motor, which provides fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus performance. This focusing motor also enables full-time manual focus override at any time just by rotating the focus ring for refined manual control and focusing as close as 10.6". A rounded nine-blade diaphragm helps to produce an attractive out-of-focus quality.
• Construction - The lens barrel is constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite material, which supports working in a wide variety of temperatures and conditions, and the lens mount is constructed from brass for long-term durability and mounting accuracy. This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.
