The easel can be adjusted up to slightly past a full vertical incline or depending on the need it can be tilted all the way down to a flat horizontal angle like a table. It has 4 large point knobs that allow for quick and accurate easel adjustments.

Easel can be tilted slightly forward for pastel and portrait work or tilted horizontal when using watercolors and paint pouring. The artist supply tray has a metal ratchet adjustment to raise it from 23" to 50" high off the floor depending on if you are sitting or standing while painting.
