- Booster Draft is one of the most played Magic formats at every level of competition and casual play. Together with Sealed Deck, it's the Limited format of choice for most tournaments, including Pro Tours, Pro Tour Qualifiers, Magic Fests, and Grand Prix. It's popular among occasional players who want to avoid the pressures of maintaining a collection and a Constructed deck. On the other hand, it's equally popular among serious players who enjoy the depth and challenge of the format.
- Good Deck Composition: There are no hard and fast rules as to what constitutes the most effective draft deck. However, if you want guidance on how creature-heavy" a deck should be, this might help. Generally speaking, you want a higher proportion of creatures than of noncreature spells. Usually, you can aim for: 15-17 creatures, 6-8 noncreature spells, 17 lands. Of course, that is just a suggestion, and your deck can certainly defy that norm without sacrificing any competitive edge.
- The draft starts by each player opening one pack, choosing a card from it, and then passing the pack to the left. This is repeated until the first pack is drafted, then the second pack is done the same way except passing to the right, and then the third pack is drafted the same way as the first.
