- CALCIUM HARDNESS INCREASER: Water naturally wants to be balanced; high pH, fluctuating temperatures, & evaporation disturb the pool water chemistry. Water, when not treated, balances itself out by drawing calcium by chipping away plaster pool walls, or corroding metal equipment in your vinyl or fiberglass pool, all of which leaves ugly stains on your pool surfaces. Gritt Commercial calcium hardness increaser makes managing pool chemistry easier and more cost-effective.
- IMPROVES POOL HEALTH: Our calcium hardness increaser is made with Calcium Chloride and will raise the total calcium hardness in your pools, spas, and hot tubs. Once added, our Calcium hardness increaser prevents corrosion of your swimming pool metal fittings, deters ugly rust stains, reduces scaly white buildup on the pool surfaces, and stops pinhole leaks in critical pool equipment.
- CONCENTRATED FORMULA: The colder your climate, the more calcium hardness you should have in the water. A 300 ppm calcium hardness is minimum in a hot climate. If your climate can make the pool freeze, 400 ppm is the bare minimum. The colder your climate, the more calcium hardness you should have in the water. Just 1.5 lb. of our product can increase the calcium hardness levels by 50 ppm.
- EASY TO USE: Add this product on the day when no other water treatment chemical has been added. Test water for hardness with a test kit or strip. If the calcium hardness is below 200 ppm, determine the dosage of this product from the table at the back of the bottle. Broadcast product over the entire water surface while the pump is running. Do not pre-dissolve this product. Pool use may resume 15 minutes after the product has fully dissolved.
