The SS has a new feature allowing you to manually set the tilt angle of the camera without the need of a remote. Simply hold the camera in the desired position and the controller will automatically record the position and hold the angle. The other new feature is the "turn-back" mode. This is done via 3 clicks of the mode button. This mode rotates the camera backwards 180 degrees for capturing footage behind you.
