- About Our Coffee: We are fourth generation coffee farmers of Rainforest Alliance Certified Estates in Chikmagalur, India. We are women owned and operated. We manage each aspect of the supply chain from our mountains to your cup. Our company name is derived from two things: Growing region is Chikmagalur , Sufi saint in the 1600s smuggled beans from the Middle East, breaking the coffee monopoly and planted them in Chik.
- Coffee Flavor Profile: This coffee is a French Roast. It is low acidic due to our growing methods. Our roasting brings out tasting notes of dark chocolate, nuts and hints of smoky flavor.
- Coffee At Home: You can make many a variety of drinks at home. Hot Coffee: Grind coarse for a French Press, Grind medium coarse for Pour Over and Chemex, Medium to more fine for drip coffee machines, Fine grind for an espresso or Turkish style coffee and For Cold Brew: Extra coarse. Let the grinds soak in cold water for 14-16 hours.
- Sustainability from Growing to Bagging Coffee: We Grow our coffee in the natural rainforest without harmful pesticides. We do not deforest the land but rather grow in harmony with the rainforest and the wildlife. Our packaging also reflects this mission to protect the land. We use compostable packaging and are migrating toward plastic free vents. Sustainability and quality go hand in hand. Our goal is to de-plasticize your life one coffee bag at a time.
