Description
- Grown, packaged and shipped exclusively by Florida Foliage. One of the best of the non-green spreading junipers, Parson's Juniper offers grayish blue-green foliage on a prostrate, spreading form. Fill between larger shrubs, spread along slopes or cascade over walls with this versatile groundcover.
- Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Control weeds until the plants have filled in. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer.
- This dense, evergreen shrub has a soft texture with bluish-green foliage. Its upright, feathery branches grow in a dome-like shape 2-3 feet tall. Its ground-hugging attribute makes it ideal as a hedge, ground-cover, screen, and windbreak. Often used as a bonsai and near sea-side areas.
- This low-maintenance evergreen needs a regular water schedule to ensure the growth of a mature root system. After the mature root system is established, watering is needed occasionally, except during a drought, watering is needed regularly. Pruning to desired shape is recommended only at early stages of growth to encourage branching. Pruning older branches may not encourage new growth.
- Parsoni is excellent for use as a ground cover and erosion control on large to small slopes and embankments. It can be planted in small groups, as a border in landscape beds and as a low-growing foundation shrub. Due to its high salt tolerance, Parsoni is often used as a ground cover in seaside areas.
