- Highly adaptable and easy to grow in most well-drained soils; avoid overly wet conditions. Water deeply, regularly during first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency once established. Apply a slow release fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Prune annually to shape.
- This upright evergreen's foliage has a mixture of blue-green scales and needles. Its extremely dense and pyramidal growth habit reaches 10-12 feet tall. Its size and density make it ideally used as a hedge, groundcover, screen and windbreak.
