UNFORGETTABLE CHARISMA Braylin Soon, a spirited 10-year-old who was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis, is an aspiring actress who's never afraid to try new things. In fact, after her liver transplant, the staff at Doernbecher Hospital even nicknamed her 'Braylin the Brave' because she was so fearless going into the surgery. When she's not acting, Braylin also loves to play mini golf, read Harry Potter books and practice routines with her dance and flag team. Braylin's goal is to someday see her name in lights-and she tells us that her designs are meant to speak to kids like herself, who have big dreams and aren't afraid to try new things. BRAYLIN'S DESIGN Braylin's design for her Nike Air Huarache Ultra Shoe pays homage to her favorite Muppet character, Kermit the Frog, with fuzzy green fabric at the front and a logo image on the tongue. The six stars along the sides of the laces pay tribute to a very special person, Braylin's liver donor, who was just six years old when she died. "I'm so grateful to that little girl, so I wanted to do something to honor her," Braylin says. The word 'Brave' is written across the back to represent Braylin's nickname and to remind wearers to always be fearless in life.
